About

Marie-Stephane  is a French Artist who studied at prestigious art schools in Nice and Bar-sur-Loup.

Following her training with her mother, who also was an esteemed painter, she went on to train under numerous artists in various medias in South France.

Being inspired by symbolism, realism and fantasy alike, she was naturally drawn to European antiquity and Japanese Nihonga, two styles she would continue to study, and which would eventually be combined into the style she is now known for.

After working in France for a couple of years she would go on to move to Tokyo at the age of 27, where she further refined her technique and deepened her knowledge of Japanese culture, customs and mythology, something she has always felt connected to.

Her paintings, inspired by her visions, tell the story of dragons, spirits and faeries, often illuminated by her unique way of capturing light, which she has been researching and developing for over 20 years.

Her art provides us with a window to another realm, inviting us to see what we might not see at first glance, enchanting us to feel an ever present magic, that lies within our dreams and imagination.
